Setting up mapping:
Select the area you would like to add a floor plan to.
Click the mapping tab or the pin icon at the bottom.
Take a photo, using your iPad, to use as the floor plan image or upload one from your photo roll.
Create a new sub area.
Click the pin icon in the lower left to tag your new sub area to the floor plan.ย
Click the arrow in the bottom right to move forward.ย
Mapping pin numbers correlate to the assigned area number.ย
Pinning additional items:
Area Photos
Select the area you would like to take a photo for.
Take a photo using the camera icon in the lower left.
Once the photo has been taken, find the yellow pin icon underneath and select it.
Click on the floor plan where you would like the photo icon located at.
Click the next arrow in the bottom right when you are finished.
Existing Fixtures
Create the existing fixture within the area.
Find the yellow ping icon to the right of the newly created fixture and select it.
Click on the floor plan where you would like the fixture to be located at.
Continue clicking to add additional fixtures.
If you add too many or too few existing fixtures for the area, you can click the "Match" Icon in the top right to match your count to the amount of fixtures pinned.
Repeat steps for any additional fixtures types in the area.
Click the next arrow in the bottom right when you are finished.
Illuminance Readings
Select the area you are recording illuminance readings for.
Select the "Additional Tab" in the top left of the area screen.
Input up to 5 different illuminance readings for the area.
Once recorded, open up your floor plan by clicking the mapping tab.
In the top right of your floor plan, select the 1st illuminance reading and pin it to the location of your choosing.
Repeat previous steps for additional readings.
Click the next arrow in the bottom right when you are finished.
Additional Mapping Details:
Colors
There are 3 colors you may run into while working with the mapping feature of Retrolux.
Red Pin - Information is incorrect on the map or area.
Yellow Pin - Information is missing or has not been pinned to the map.
Green Pin - All information is correct and has been pinned to the map.
Legend
The icons on the right hand of the mapping screen will help you hide details on your screen and clear up clutter due to many pins being placed in a specific location.
The most common icon you will want to look out for is the Pinning Icon. This icon will dictate whether the item has been pinned to the floor plan or if you can pin it at all.
The Area Icon will allow you to hide your area pin within the floor plan.
The Fixture Icon will allow you to hide your existing fixture pins within the floor plan.
The Photo Icon will allow you to hide your area photo pin within the floor plan.
The Illuminance Icon will allow you to hide your illuminance pins within the floor plan.
